Edwin Oliphant’s radio show, Local is lekker, started in 2010. Initially, it was supposed to showcase new South African singing talent, in both English and Afrikaans. The Afrikaans part fell away, mainly because Edwin started concentrating on Country music. The show has evolved, to include American Country, as well. Edwin has been involved with six radio stations, over the years. 2 FM, one AM and 3 internet stations. He was also the CEO of two of the internet stations. Edwin was also responsible for initiating the changeover to Down South Country Stereo, from Uitsaaines.
